Deposit checks
Every deposit is checked before it is credited to your private balance. The check looks at wallet addresses, not at who you are. Nullmask does not ask for your identity.
How long it takes
Most deposits are credited within minutes. Some wait longer, up to 24 hours, and a few can take more if a check cannot be completed right away. The app shows your deposit's status while you wait.
While a deposit is waiting, it is not yet part of your private balance. You cannot send, swap or withdraw it until it is credited.
What can happen to a deposit
- Credited. It appears in your private balance.
- Not accepted before you send it. The app checks a deposit before you send it. If it cannot be accepted, the app tells you, and nothing leaves your wallet.
- Returned. The deposit goes back to the address it came from. The gas you added with the deposit pays for the return.
- Waiting. A deposit that is still waiting can be taken back to the address it came from at any time. You pay the network gas for that transaction.
Nullmask may not explain why a deposit was not accepted.
Deposit from your own wallet
A returned deposit can only go back to the address it came from. Do not deposit from an exchange or any other address you do not control.
Withdrawals are checked too
The recipient address of a withdrawal is checked before it is sent. A withdrawal to some addresses can be refused.
If you think it was a mistake
Write to compliance@nullmask.io with the depositing address and the transaction hash.
