Gas balance
Network fees for transfers, swaps and withdrawals are paid in ETH. Your Gas balance is ETH set aside for them, so they do not reduce the ETH you plan to send or withdraw.
- Fees come from your Gas balance first, then from your private ETH.
- You can top up your Gas balance on the Gas page, or add to it with a deposit (To your Gas in the deposit quote).
Why keep ETH in Gas
If you hold only USDT or USDC in your private balance, you still need ETH for network fees. Keep some ETH in your Gas balance so you can always move your tokens.
