Get started
You need a self-custody wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, and some ETH for gas. A wallet controlled by a smart contract cannot hold a private balance.
1. Connect your wallet
Open app.nullmask.io for Ethereum or base.nullmask.io for Base, and connect your wallet.
2. Create your account keys
Your wallet asks you to sign a message from Nullmask. It creates the keys of your Nullmask account.
- It is free: no transaction and no gas.
- It moves no funds and approves nothing.
- The same wallet always gives the same keys, on any device.
3. Add the Nullmask network
The app asks your wallet to add a network called Nullmask VPN on Ethereum (or on Base). Approve it. Your private balance is shown on this network. See Networks and addresses.
4. Register your account
Your account is registered on-chain so that others can send to you privately. You can register on its own, or together with your first deposit. Registration is a transaction from your wallet, and you pay its gas.
5. Make your first deposit
Choose an asset and an amount and press Check and deposit. See Deposit.
